Welcome to Seven Sisters Astronomical Society!
Welcome to Seven Sisters Astronomical Society (SSAS) – named after the famous Seven Sisters chalk cliffs and the glittering star cluster which shares their name.
We are a small group of amateur astronomers, space enthusiasts and friends with a common goal. We hold regular meetings in Willingdon, at the foot of the South Downs National Park, and observe at a handful of sites, mostly within the beautiful Seven Sisters Country Park. Our aim is to share our passion for space and to engage with the local community through public observing and outreach events.
SSAS is also a member of The Southern Area Group of Astronomical Societies- SAGAS. Click here for more information.
We are also members of Federation of Astronomical Societies (FAS). For more information follow this link.
